Find Icons

FindIcons

A large database of icons.

FindIcons is probably the largest database of free icons on the web.
If we spend enough time sifting through a directory with more than 2,500 packages, we’ll surely find what we’re looking for.

“We have the largest searchable icon database in the world (Will you find more icons elsewhere than here? Let us know!).
Sophisticated filtering tools, as well as the match evaluation system, allow you to obtain the icon needed for each project ”- boast the creators.

Such announcements are worth verifying. After entering the FindIcons home page, you immediately notice the access to the Polish language version – a nice and still rare addition.
After entering the phrase, it quickly turns out that the ambitious assumptions from the above quotation are mostly supported by the truth.

Most importantly, the results are accurate. This means that if we select 3D in the style box in the filters panel, we will actually get three-dimensional proposals.
The icons are well tagged, which can also be helped by the users themselves by adding tags.

After selecting an interesting icon, we can immediately download it, without the need to create an account. Various formats are available: ICO, ICNS or PNG, depending on what the creator has prepared. You can also use a converter, which opens the way to further saving options.

FindIcons for free

All icons are available for free, although the authors often do not update the information on whether the use of the image requires a link, which could potentially cause a problem.

Summary

As with all huge databases of this type, efficient search is paramount, and FindIcons works very well in this regard.
